Meet the Team

Dr. Tien Pham

O.D. Doctor of Optometry


Dr. Tien Pham received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of Houston. He then graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. During his training he received a wide spectrum of training in dry eyes, glaucoma, ocular disease, primary eye care and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Pham is licensed to practice Therapeutic Optometry and is certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He Joined Austin Vision Center after his internship at the San Diego Naval Medical Center.

In his free time, Dr. Pham enjoys hiking, traveling, playing basketball and practicing his cooking skills. He loves exploring Austin and is always trying to find hidden gems in the area.

Dr. Clay Barnett

O.D. Owner, Doctor of Optometry


Dr. Barnett is a native of Burnet, TX and graduated from Burnet High School. He currently resides in Austin, TX.

A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Barnett received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology as well as the Business Foundation degree from the Red McCombs School of Business. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society.

Dr. Barnett is certified as an optometric glaucoma specialist and therapeutic optometrist. He was a member of the Sports and Visual Performance Clinic in Houston, Texas where he worked hands on with the University of Houston Softball team and the Houston Astros before returning to Austin.

During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Anna, their three kids John, William, and Evelyn. Dr. Barnett enjoys going to UT sporting events, playing golf and spending time on the lake.

Dr. Barnett is a proud member of the Four Points Chamber of Commerce, Central Texas Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
